Fully refurbished in November 2025. A large riverside pub with variety of areas inside, with food trade to the fore, but not to the exclusion of drinkers. Wood panelling with mixture of seating and an extensive, multi-layered garden overlooking the water. The pub is said to date from 1770 and is named after the “Swan-upping” ceremony, the annual census of swans on the River Thames held every July. American songwriter Jerome Kern was once resident here. Guest beers can be from a local brewer.
